Product Certification and Safety
Power bank safety should not be left to luck. ZENS rigorously vets every battery cell against national mandatory certifications and international standards—giving you peace of mind in every purchase and use, and worry-free air travel.
In 2024, there were 37 incidents of power bank self-ignition on domestic flights in China alone; over 81% were products that had not passed CCC certification. Safety certification is a real line of defense.
CCC — China Compulsory Certification
CCC (China Compulsory Certification) is a mandatory safety certification system for specific products in China, currently covering 17 major categories and 103 items. As of August 1, 2024, lithium-ion batteries and power banks are officially included under mandatory CCC management—products without CCC certification may not be sold, imported, or used for commercial activities within China.
Power banks are tested according to GB 4943.1-2022 and GB 31241-2022 ("Safety technical specification for lithium ion cells and batteries used in portable electronic applications"), covering overcharge, over-discharge, short-circuit, temperature, and mechanical safety, among other items. The ZENS GLASSIA Qi2 power bank series is CCC certified.
Traceability QR Code (New CCC Regulation)
In accordance with the latest CCC regulations, power banks will feature a "traceability QR code" next to the CCC mark: applicable to newly certified products starting March 1, 2026, and fully mandatory by March 2027. Simply scan to trace product certification information, ensuring you can buy and use with greater confidence.

What does CCC certification mean?
Obtaining CCC is more than just a certificate. According to GB 31241-2022 and the stricter new national standards being phased in from 2026, battery cells must not "catch fire or explode" under various extreme abuse tests. Below are the core test items required by the national standard:
The above are national standard (GB 31241-2022 and new standard) test requirements for power bank cells. ZENS GLASSIA series is CCC certified, meaning it meets these safety standards.
Qi2 and Qi2.2 — Faster and safer
ZENS utilizes the Qi2 magnetic standard formulated by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). Here are the highlights of Qi2 and the next-generation Qi2.2:
Qi2 (2023 ・ 15W)
Qi2.2 (2025 ・ 25W)
ZENS GLASSIA adopts the Qi2 magnetic wireless standard, ensuring snap-and-charge convenience with controlled heat generation.
Multi-Country Certification ・ Global Peace of Mind
To comply with regulations in different markets, ZENS products obtain the corresponding certifications based on local mandatory standards:
Actual certification items vary by product model and sales region.
Taking a power bank on a plane
Lithium power banks are aviation-regulated items. The general principle: Must be carried on your person, not in checked luggage. Whether you can take it on board depends primarily on "Watt-hours (Wh)":
- Under 100Wh: Generally allowed in carry-on baggage; usually no prior application required.
- 100–160Wh: Requires airline approval in advance.
- Over 160Wh: Prohibited on board.
For flights entering or exiting China, power banks must bear the CCC mark; some routes also limit the number of units per passenger (commonly 2 pieces).
Capacity Conversion (mAh → Wh, based on 3.7V)
| Rated Capacity | Approx. Wh | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| 5,000mAh | ≈ 18.5Wh | Short trips, daily backup, lightweight |
| 10,000mAh | ≈ 37Wh | Basic power for a single day |
| 20,000mAh | ≈ 74Wh | Long trips, layovers, or multi-device use |
Wh = mAh × Voltage(V) ÷ 1000. Actual values depend on product markings and the latest announcements from airlines/airports.
Certification & Travel
Yes. If your itinerary involves flights entering or exiting China, your power bank may be inspected according to relevant Chinese regulations. It is recommended to ensure the CCC mark is visible on the device to reduce the risk of delays during security or boarding.
Not necessarily. Security details and quantity limits may vary; final authority lies with your airline and the latest announcements at your departure/transit airport. Checking before your trip is advised.
Generally, under 100Wh is allowed in carry-on; 100–160Wh requires airline approval; over 160Wh is prohibited. 20,000mAh (approx. 74Wh) is typically within the carry-on range; always check actual markings.
ZENS GLASSIA is 5,000mAh (approx. 19.25Wh), well under 100Wh, and is CCC certified, complying with common travel and sales requirements.
